The Eagle has Finally Landed!

After more than ten (10) days of Fall Cleaning/organizing and mods on the Boop Studio, finally got a path cleared back to the quilting frame to finish quilting eagles on this Eagle Quilt of Valor Doris & I created ;-)

Doris created the 9-patch interior and I got to add complimentary borders to bring it up to required QOV size, and it turned out fairly well, we think!

Dave Hudson's "Eagles On High" quilting design

This patriotic quilt was quilted with Honey Gold Premo-Soft from the Essentials Thread kit by Kimmie Brunner - one of my favorite 'Gold' threads to quilt with, that creates a wonderful gold accent that compliments any quilt without being intrusive.  Premo-Soft also has a wonderful 'soft' hand, as the name reflects.  If you haven't tried this exceptional thread yet, why not give it a try on one of your next quilts?
