Questions, Questions, Questions...?

Questions, Questions, Questions...?

I've noticed over the past several months I'm starting to see a consistent pattern of questions from very different types of people asking virtually the same type of questions and they are, in no definite order w/answers:

1.  What kinds of quilts do you make?

Answer:  For now, we are focusing primarily on Memory quilts, T-shirt quilts and Quilt of Valor (QOV) quilts.  We will consider custom quilts on a case-by-case basis and pricing may vary per case.

2.  How do you quilt them?

Answer:  We quilt your heirloom quilt project with a longarm quilting machine, an HQ Avante, aka Betty Boop ;-).  Betty, as I like to refer to her as, was made primarily to quilt quilts - little quilts, medium-size quilts and large, full-size quilts, along w/quilted clothing, accent pieces and wall hangings.

3.  How much does it cost to have a quilt made?

Answer:  It ALL depends on what type of quilt top and quilting service you desire.  I hate to sound evasive, but that's like asking if the price of a Volkswagen Beetle will be the same price as a Mercedes Benz - you get the picture?  The good news is, we offer quilting services in ALL price ranges - enough to accommodate most every budget.  We also offer a F R E E private consult for every quilt project and give you a minimum of three quilting quotes for you to consider.

4.  How much does it cost to have a quilt top quilted?

Answer:  Again, it ALL depends on what type of quilting service you desire - whether all-over edge-to-edge quilting or customized quilting designed to suit your particular quilt heirloom.  The good news is, we offer quilting services in ALL price ranges - enough to accommodate most every budget.  We also offer a F R E E private consult for every quilt project and give you a minimum of three quilting service fee quotes for you to choose from.  A pricing sheet guideline is available here:  Long Arm Quilting Services  We now accept PayPal! (PayPal payment options available on the Quilts 'N Things Long Arm Services Pricing Page, and you may scroll to the bottom of this page for more info.)

5.  What are the biggest challenges a quilt top creator needs to deal with before bringing a quilt top to you to be quilted?

Answer:  Probably preparing a quilt top properly to be loaded onto a longarm quilting machine and wavy and/or uneven borders.

6.  How should a quilt top be prepared prior to bringing it to you to be quilted?

Answer:  Great question and one you can find the answer to here:  Quilt Top Preparation
